Lately I have listened to conversations around me and I have realised that generally people whisper their somewhat controversial opinions. Is this because we don’t want to “upset” anyone or cause an argument?
I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and differences in opinion is ok we can have a discussion about it. Our differences of opinion is what makes us human, life would be exceedingly boring if we all thought the same.
Recently there has been much debate about abortion and whether it should be legalized or not. Personally I believe that women should have the right to make that choice. I do not believe that the government should be forcing women to have children that they don’t want. The reasons for having an abortion varies and one law cannot be written to include every reason.
And most importantly (and this goes for many things such as marijuana legalization) JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING IS LEGAL DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO DO IT!!!
I understand many have religious reasons or personal opinions about this issue and emotions run high when discussing this topic, I fully respect that but I also understand that there are many factors leading couples to decide on abortion. You should have the final say on your own health and life choices. It does not personally affect my life so why should I decide what you should do?!
One thing that really irritates me is people posting photos on Facebook!! I have a few friends that I really get on well with but every time an abortion debate comes up they post anti abortion photos… Now I have no problem with text images but PLEASE DO NOT force me to see images of dead foetus’. I am sure I am not alone in this I think have your own opinion fine but I don’t want to see images like that and women who have had miscarriages or abortions go through enough emotional turmoil without coming across these images. How can you claim to be pro life and post images of dead babies!
I will finish up by saying be true to yourself and don’t be afraid to voice your own opinions but be respectful of other peoples opinions
